NOTE: Not recommended for too much solid color as you want to show more of the stock texture.
Semi Gloss
Our semi-gloss is a coating on a variety of our stocks used to enhance the color quality of digitally-printed options.
Digital Foil Printing
We offer a limited number of digital foil stamp colors that include gold, silver, copper, and blue.
Few things to keep in mind:
-
Digital foil registration has a 1/8" tolerance meaning that the paper shifts a bit during printing
-
When designing for digital foil, if you are choosing not to pursue a soft touch option, refrain from adding full color backgrounds or textures that overlap the foil area. Avoid using small or thin fonts for digital foil.
-
Limit only 1 foil color for the front and back.

Flyer Printing| Gold Image Printing
Flyers are a basic tool in any businesses’ arsenal, but ‘basic’ need not mean ‘base quality’. And the ‘standard’ in our ‘standard flyers’ in no way signifies a dull or inferior product! Our standard flyers page is your first port of call in Chicago to create understated, classic, sharp, and professional-quality flyers for any indication, and at a great price. Here you will find our most popular customization options field-tested to guarantee you receive a dynamite product, in any combination.
As always, our ‘standard’ drop-down options are provided as a guide, not as a limitation. Do you already have a vision that is not perfectly matched by what is available here? Ask us about a quote on a custom project! Any paper, any sizes, any of our numerous embellishments and special effects—we are excited to help you create the custom flyer printing project of your dreams!
The size you choose will depend upon your desired use for your flyers. Will you be printing flyers as a mailer or an announcement, or as signage for your business space? Do you anticipate posting your flyers to a community corkboard or taping them to streetlight poles? Do you want a small flyer to hand out at the cash register, of a size to be easily slipped into a handbag or a wallet? A flyer posted in a location which will be viewed from a distance should be larger, and your text should also be larger and bolder. For this, we would recommend our largest sizes, 11” x 17” or 8.5” x 14”. To print flyers of a more intermediate size, such as one viewed up-close like signage in a building or on a message board, would fall into the range including 8.5” x 11”; 6” x 9”; 5.5” x 8.5”; and 5” x 7”. A flyer designed to be viewed at an immediate distance, or held in the hand, may work best with our smallest range of sizes – 4.25” x 5.5”; 4” x 6”; or 3” x 4”. Of course, if you already have the perfect ratio in mind for your design, we offer custom sizing.
There are a number of paper stocks on which, in our extensive experience, flyers print well, which are included in the order form for your convenience. We offer the standard 14pt cover matte white paper stock, as well as the 14pt cover semi-gloss. These ‘economy’ papers are a perfect mix of cost-effectiveness and high quality. The next step up includes the 70lb uncoated smooth paper stock, and the 80lb uncoated smooth paper stock. In 100lb weight we have several options: 100lb gloss text and 100lb gloss cover, and an uncoated version, 100lb cover matte white. The 100lb weight also includes options in silk: a 100lb silk text stock and a 100lb silk cover stock.
The recommended size and paper stock for flyers printing depend upon the anticipated use of the flyer. The design and information density (i.e. how many words are on there) will depend on how you will use your flyer. If it is a directive or an instruction, it is best to opt for a few words in a large font and bold, contrasting colors. If it is a flyer to be taken with the recipient and read at leisure, or placed in a location where a viewer has a while to read, such as a checkout line, your possible information density increases, but the flyer must still be engaging and have a hook, lest the reader view it as an indigestible wall of text and write it off. If It is a flyer on which you anticipate people writing, uncoated paper is your best choice. Uncoated papers take up ink and graphite better than coated papers, but coated papers showcase colors more vividly. Uncoated paper also looks excellent with a minimalist flyer design with a lot of negative space, so the grain of the paper can be appreciated, and it feels good to the touch. If you plan to hand out thousands of flyers on the street, to people who may well immediately toss them, the tried-and-true workhorse 14lb papers are the most logical option for affordable flyers printing. They will create a flyer that is professional and sharp, but economical to print in bulk. Flyers that will be pinned to a wall or a corkboard should be in a more durable, heavy paper stock. Flyers that one will hand directly to already-established customers or parties who have indicated interest in your product, also, can be printed on a heavier, more luxurious paper, as they will more likely be kept and referred to later. The heavy paper also shows your commitment to quality in all aspects of your business, and your esteem for the time of your customers.
Did you need your flyers yesterday? There is no need to wait! We offer not only next day flyer printing, but also, if ordered early enough in the working day, offer a three hour rush option. That’s right, we can print flyers same day in Chicago if requested. Talk to us about your options; we are eager to work with you!
Are you looking for something, perhaps, a little more specialized than the options we present here? In addition to our full customization service we offer a few other preset packages. Our bulk offset flyers are our premium-quality rectangular option, with even sharper colors and images than our already-stellar standard flyers. But ‘rectangular’ is a bit staid—create a flyer outside the mold with circle flyers and die cut flyers! That’s right; the latter allows you to print a flyer in any custom shape you desire. Create not just a flyer, but an object d’art. And, Gold Image is not just the place where to print flyers in Chicago—we have every one of your corporate paper needs covered! Browse our extensive catalogue of corporate printing services for inspiration. We guarantee you’ll be not just satisfied, but blown away, by any of our products for your business. And, we can help you design not just a next day flyer, but many products ready for next-day delivery.
